For reports and background checks by mail, send a self-addressed stamped envelope with the information listed below to the above address.
For a background check include the full name, race, sex, and date of birth.
For copies of accident or event reports include the case number (if possible), the date, time and location of the event or accident, and the names of the persons involved.
To pick up a report in person, visit the Records Division window in the lobby of the Public Safety Building. See Broward County Records Division - Fees for the Fee Schedule. Payments must be in cash, check, or money order. Credit cards and debit cards are not accepted.
